Scam Description
I received a call from “Process service division” stating I was going to be served and there is a civil case against me. I started asking questions then the lady stated “obviously I caught you off guard” and provided a phone number 888-662-0881 and a case number, they had my full name, address, called my place of work and had my full social security number. I was told by “Hartwood and Associates” who stated they are located in California that I missed a letter sent to me on Sept. 1st and that now I will be served a subpoena and will have to go to court. I started asking questions and they first stated someone has a civil case against me and all they could say it was from a bank that I’ve never used before. Super scary that they have my social security number
