Scam Description
I was researching small business loans and entered my contact information on the website. I thought it was legit as it is BBB accredited. Company contacted me that I was eligible for a 150k line of credit for my business. My business does not make anywhere near that much. Company asked me for financial documents which I submitted. After lender said I was approved, I had a conference call with an outsourced financial company for the line of credit. They tell me I need to pay $15k to an escrow account in order to secure the line of credit. But they told me this line of credit was unsecured. They also have me another option of paying $5k upfront for a smaller line of credit. Lender tells me my business credit score was excellent, so I don’t know why I would be given a secured line of credit. Company sounded u trustworthy and dishonest. I should never have to pay money upfront for any type of loan.
