Scam Description
Keith Nelson, Author and Writer at the source reached out via Instagram about an offer to publish an article for the source magazine. He offered a slot, asked for information for the biography and links to music. Also asked for money for publishing which initially was $100. His main offer was an upcoming show in NYC that was to be held by the source for underground artists to showcase their talent on August 30. To be able to participate in said show, one needed to be published and recognized on the source magazine. He also said they would offer flight and accommodation and sent those details through thesourcemanagement@aol.com. I obliged and sent the money he then said I sent it too late and they needed an additional $100, I declined but after persuasion sent a final $50. He then tried asking for more money at which point I realized my error. I declined and he told me to hit up thesourcemanagement@aol.com for a refund. He blocked me afterwards.
