Scam Description
I booked a ticket for my grandson with booking.com and in the ticket his first name came together with tittle MR. I was searching for Lufthansa airlines number in google to correct his name and it was diverted to Flightsassist and their agent lied that it was Lufthansa and the name was incorrect in the ticket so he would not be able to board the flight. He offered to cancel this ticket and create new one and charged from my credit card $1157.08 and sent me back the same ticket that I had before with same ticket #, same conformation # with same first name that was with letters of his tittle MR and assured that in the system his name is correct and the money for first ticket will be refund to my credit card but they never refunded. Feeling suspicious I called Lufthansa and they confirmed that my grandson’s initial name was good and there was no change made to the ticket from Flightsassist . I called couple times to Flightsassist and spoke with their manager and he assured that to get refund from Lufthansa take about 3-4 months. I opened a dispute in my Chase bank for these charges and get my money back but I continue to get emails from Collection Executive of this company : Titus Hudson with a request to repay the loss incurred by Flightsassist and with threats to forward my account to their Legal team for further Legal proceedings as per law. I found on website : scammer.info that this company using multiple websites and phone numbers and operating in USA, UK and Canada defrauding unsuspecting people who wand to book flights and they recommend to report to the UK’s Action Fraud website: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk.
