Scam Description
I received an invoice by email for $748.98. There was a phone number listed on the invoice to call and have my charges removed within 24 hours. I called the phone number and they wanted me to type in a web site on my computer to delete the service. They said I had to do it this way because I was the only one authorized to make the change. I started to enter the letters he was telling me into my search bar and I wasn’t feeling good about it. I also saw the word scam as I typed. I don’t remember all the letter I typed before I deleted them, but it did start with a “d”. I stopped and told him I would not enter it. I asked him which account of mine would be charged or what my card # was and he said he couldn’t give that information over the phone. I am not sure If they will be able to charge me or what will happen next. I will be watching my accounts!
