Scam Description
A man called me randomly about my AT&T service was compromised and needed to wire $25,000 over to fix the problem. I went to my bank First Horizon to wire money to his BOA account. Teller told me this is fishy, the scammer walked me through everything the entire time over the phone. He told me do not tell the teller any additional information and the teller denied the transfer. He convinced me to visit more banks to get the wire transfer, the scammer told me to tell the bank it was an investment. Finally the scammer told me to visit a very urban bank to get them to do it and they did. The next day I wanted my money back and went to first horizon to see if they could reverse the wire. Then they gave me paperwork to sign and fax to BOA.
