Scam Description
I responded to an email from MS about renewal of 365 Office and was greeted by a gentleman who assured me that he would see that I got my refund. Trusting MS I gave him info some of which he had, for reimbursement. Several times I was put on hold listening to an unintelligible voice giving me a 100 dollar coupon for calling. Then the call was disconnected…..Nothing showed up on bank card until today when there 3 strange credits. Calling the no given by the bank I called and got the same man again and again at another number as well. I also received a letter from Shop smart247 informing me of a $37 deduction each month for the service. l am a 77 year old retiree on a fixed pension and should have realized what was going on. Changing my bank info and not calling Microsoft anytime soon.
