Scam Description
I met someone online and the person claimed to be in the military. He said that he stumbled upon some golden bars worth $3M while on duty during deployment and wanted to have them shipped to me for “safekeeping.” I believed him and proceeded to do so. He mentioned that there would be a cost to have it shipped from this company, which I paid. Turns out, it was all a scam, and at the end of the day I was stupid enough to fall for it costing me more than $12,000.00.Long story short—if you EVER meet someone online that claims to be in the military, but asks for money, and is soon going to be “deployed,” run……FAST. It’s a scam. Save yourself. You’ve been warned and you’re welcome.
