Scam Description
The website: placematgear.com looked very legitimate. I purchased items from known brands, and when I went to pay through PayPal, it looked like a legitimate transaction went through. When I never received an email confirming my order, I looked into the purchase more closely and saw the address given was at Mississippi state and was clearly fake. Unfortunately PayPal’s fraud guarantee didn’t apply because the purchase had been considered “friends and family.” Paypal is looking into the transaction and I am hopeful I may still be reimbursed. I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else. The placematgear website is still up and looks very legitimate. It should be taken down.
