Scam Description
I received a text message about a job opportunity; the lady said she seen my resume on indeed and to down load the app called signal to speak with the recruiter Charlene Burkey. She asked me questions like for an interview and stated the duties for the virtual assistant remote. She sent a check to buy the software and work equipment and she emailed me about background check. I provided personal information like school details, job details, name email phone number and also my id. She told me to deposit the check into my bank and send a screenshot at the moment I realized it was a scam
