Scam Description
I have gotten a text message from a recruiter for a data entry representative and assistant position. Everything seem fine, and she told me that my interview would be over this app called Telegram. And I figured since the place was based in Switzerland, I figured it was because of the language barrier that I had to use the app. Kyle was the hiring manager and the only person that I talked to. He did the normal hiring process, asking questions and telling me about the company. The company does research and drugs for cancer. After he said I got the job he sent me an email of all the paperwork that I had to do which was a W-4 email a code of conduct and also a direct deposit. He stated that he will send me the funds to get the equipment that I need it defined amount with a total of. $4955.00 . My bank put the check on hold until the 13th. On the 12th I checked the bank and I saw that the check was returned. I messaged Kyle to let him know about this. And I haven’t heard a response and all my messages were deleted. Lucky I kept screenshots of our conversation.
