Scam Description

I have been looking for a job and sending out resumes. A person by the name of Amy Robinson reached out via email with job opportunity. Stating that she found my resume on Indeed, which I do have up publicly. We emailed back and forth about the position and pay. I had a phone interview with a female who barely spoke English and she asked a few simple questions. 1) Am I willing to work over time. 2) Do I like challenges. 3) Do I take initiative. Then she stated that I passed the Interview and will begin the two week trial. My pay was to be $38.40 full time M-F 9am – 5pm. All remote until they opened an office in my area. I started today at 9am and she wanted me to download an app called “Telegram” which is a bit weird for a legit company. In the app she sent me two documents which sounded like a scam of money laundering sorts. She wanted me to go to a BTC ATM and create an account then use that as practice to help move transactions forward. I kept asking questions and she seems to e a bit aggressive about needing to do this so I stalled and said that I had went and that the machine was broken. I called my local authorities and BitCoin representative and reported the situation. I now have now contacted my bank as the scam company requested I fill out a W-9 and direct deposit information to them. After speaking to the Police and making the report, they suggested I freeze my accounts and contact all credit bureaus and let them know the situation just incase. Along with the IRS. My take away is if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
