Scam Description
I was contacted via iMessage about this job opportunity to work from home but then was told to download Microsoft teams where I finished the interview process. They told me they would send me a check to deposit into my bank account so that I could purchase equipment for the job position. Then when I denied this and asked why we can’t use direct deposit they tried to get me to fill out w-9 forms which would involve me giving my ssn when I have yet to speak over the phone with anyone from the company.
