Scam Description
I applied for a loan online. I received a phone call from a woman with an accent she said I was approved for a loan for up to $5000. Alex called later and he said they would put $986 in my checking account and I would pay it back to them before they would deposit the $2000 loan. I gave him my bank account number and routing number and he has made the deposit. He called after making the deposit to tell me to go to Walmart and purchase $985 in Walmart Money Master Cards. He told me to scratch off the security numbers and read him the security numbers. He said he would stay on the phone with me during the purchase at Walmart. He told me not to tell them what I was really buying the cards for, just tell them they are for personal use. Todd Miller is Alex’s boss. He is still calling me.
