Scam Description
I received a text from the second number saying I qualified for a government back program that would renegotiate the terms of my mortgage, lower my interest rate and my monthly payment. Said once the loan went into litigation I would no longer pay the bank I’d been making payments to, I would pay them until the paperwork was complete-45-90 days. They even had the same music I have heard from my bank when you are on hold. One red flag- and I am not prejudiced at all-everyone I spoke with there was from India (I think) they all spoke with that accent.
