Scam Description

I needed my dishwasher fixed. I found the business on Google. The person, Eric Tebault, then looked at my refrigerator and told me I needed a new seal on the door. I had just had surgery 2 weeks before and was still on medication and was walking with a walker. He called a store to order the part. He told me to give him a check for $235 for the dishwasher repair and the refrigerator part. He gave me an invoice for the dishwasher but no paperwork for the refrigerator. He told me he would call when the part came in. I didn’t hear from him for 4 days. I text him 3 times with no response. I finally text and told him I was concerned that he was ripping me off. He called and told me he would be by the next day. He did not come. I text him again asking him what happened. He came by the next morning with the wrong part. I told him I was done and to get out of my house, but I made him leave the part. I called the store where he got the part, Tribbles appliances, in Norfolk, Va. They told me the party was $49. They cannot refund me for the part because he purchased it.
