Scam Description
I entered into a Non-Disclose Agreement (NDA)/contract with an online company, Bookwriting Studios, located at 811 Wilshire Blvd, 17th floor, Los Angeles CA 90017 on 6 Sep 22 for book publishing services for unpublished copyrighted material. Soon after entering into an agreement with the company, the services were not provided as promised per NDA. I had an agent representing myself in-person go to the location per Bookwriting Studios Website (location listed above) in which the agent was verbally told by the building security employee that company does not exist at this location and has never been assigned to the building. I in-turned demanded that the company show proof of whom they are. The company provided a W-9 form with a business name of Astro Digital LLC located in Niles, IL. Furthermore, Bookwriting Studios (California) nor Astros Digital (Illinois) show a business licenses nor any form of identification. I prepared and submitted a contract termination and refund demand letter- to date no refund has been provided to me. Myself and my partner, have been threaten to have our copyrighted material released to Amazon’s KDP services in retaliation and have not refunded my payment. I have submitted a dispute with my bank and the FBI cyber crimes division.
