Scam Description

We received a phone call today from David Perry, stating he was an employee of Ameren Illinois and we had a bill past due of 60-90 days. When we told him we have receipts from all payments he stated they have a new way to pay and he could walk us through making a bank transfer to the new billing system. He told us we owed because we are still paying the old accounts manager. He stated if we hung up the call, our utilities would be immediately disconnected and we would not be able to turn them back on until Friday. We asked for his supervisors name to which he then “transferred” us. When we asked the “manager” how many people he has scammed today he said 7-8, when we repeated his answer, he became biligerent with us and hung up the phone. They did state our home address on the call.
