Scam Description
I get 5-10 calls per week from an organization claiming to be “Energy Upgrade CA”. They know my phone and my home address. Their website (www.energyupgradeca.org) looks good, but has no contact information. The only contact info listed is a dead link to “California Public Utilities Commission”. I’m sure they’re a scam because every time I try to get more information about them they hang up the phone. All the operators don’t speak English as a first language. They dial in on an array of legitimate looking numbers, circumventing my spam-calling filter on my phone.
