Scam Description
Received a phone call about a Direct Tv Promo . Code # was CZ137K. Then I would get my bill paid for Sept, Oct, Nov. Also said my bill would be just $60 a month for the next 2 years.
Was told to buy a Ebay EGift Card for $200. All there was at Walmart was one for Apple. Then he told me it couldn’t be from Apple so went to Dollar General and got one there for exact amount of $180. So when I got home he wanted me to open the code section and give him the code numbers from both cards. Once I did that If I got another ECard for $180 then they would send me a $400 rebate right off.
At this point I had never heard of such a thing as they wanted another ECard. Told them no way. So now I’m out of $380and must be a $20 tip for my trouble. I was totally a fool in believing what happened. His name was William Macdonald.
