Scam Description
I received a call from CenterPoint Energy stating my services if I didn’t make a payment tonight. So I panicked because the number that called said CenterPoint Energy on my caller ID. He requested payment be send via Zelle so that it can automatically post and so that my services wouldn’t get canceled. I sent the payment and after that he requested more money be sent via Zelle as soon as my husband heard the conversation he knew it was a scam and that’s when I realized it too. Unfortunately, the money was sent through Zelle and completed and I am trying to dispute it with my Bank.
