Scam Description
In Feb. 2021, I purchased a timeshare with El Cid Vacation Club, Mazatlan. In Sept/Oct 2021 received a call from Uplift rep.stating they would be able to lower my payments on a loan I had with El Cid. But what I discovered after the fact from my wife, we had no loan for the “x” amount of dollars that the Uplift rep.quoted me. On our return trip to ElCid, I spoke with their representatives about Uplift. They informed me they had no working relationship with Uplift and that Uplift possibly fraudulently lifted my information from ElCid. I know that Uplift acquired my name from ElCid by the way they have my name with both first and middle name under “First Name” which is the same as ElCid had it in their contract. No subsequent information was received from Uplift such as what services offered.
