Scam Description
Reservationstays.com “ghosts” the website of the Riverside Hotel of Ft. Lauderdale. When a person tries to schedule, they are covertly transferred from the hotel’s own website to the fraudulent website of “reservationstays.com” which has authentic looking webpages, AND issues FAKE CONFIRMATIONS of hotel reservations, AFTER COLLECTING CREDIT CARD INFO WITH CARDHOLDER NAMES. Here is their URL: https://www.reservationstays.com/search?encrypted_user_id=AqcZ2_EnP5f8p_eaG6hIzA Hotel reservtion sent to “confirm” was NON-EXISTENT in the hotel’s own records !! The charged money ($612.95) for the hotel reservation was thus stolen, as the subject hotel (Riverside Hotel, Ft. Lauderdale, FL) stated that there was no record of a reservation, nor any charges. A Small Claims court case is pending.
