Scam Description
After making airline ticket reservations tonight, this came up on the screen along with itinerary details: “Thank you for choosing Fare Corner and for trusting your travel plans with us. This is a confirmation of your booking request and your booking is in progress. You will receive a confirmation email along with the Confirmation number shortly. Your booking is IN PROGRESS”. Shortly after we received a phone call from a heavily-accented man saying no more tickets were available at that price ($1,250.40) but we could have the same tickets for just $200 more per person. Uh, NO! He then stated that if any money was withdrawn it would be returned to our card in 7-10 business days. No charge has been made yet but it just happened within the last 30 minutes. The same thing happened two nights ago while making other flight reservations with Fares Planet but for an additional $400.
