Scam Description
This company specifically lied to me on the phone. I asked if they were Sage Accounting and I was told yes! They were. They then told me to fix my issue I would need to pay my yearly fee (which we do typically pay to sage). After paying it was explained the charge would say “Accounting Matrix” I did not understand why until – was emailed by Sage Accounting later in the month saying they were going to also charge us $899 for our yearly commitment. So now we are being charged $899 twice because – they lied specifically on the phone. I wanted to speak with Sage Accounting and made sure twice to ask “you are part of Sage Accounting?” They had a website – that looked like Sage and even said Sage Accounting. But I was skeptical which is why I asked over and over again. Due to all of this, we ended up switching bank account numbers because we are sure this is Fraud. When I tried to dispute the amount Accounting Matrix said they would pay us back. Then when they did not refund the money – I called again and was told it would take 5 business days to get the money refunded. That was in February. We have not received a dime. After – when I tried to call and speak with a manager they hung up on me and blocked my number. I have also tried to call from a separate number the first time they answered now they will not answer this number either. And on top of this – they are supposed to be giving me 1 year of service. Which they are not. So after they lied about who they are – they are not even fulfilling the lie they told.
