Scam Description

called the first number that popped up when Googled “Amazon Customer Service”. Scammers had me download an app called Anydesk which allowed them access to my entire phone screen. Had me go through my photos, and bank to transfer money from my savings into my checkings. Said that there were many scammers trying to access my phone and accounts, so I believed that they were trying to help add more security. Went on to Cash App which had me try to take $200 out but was declined. Asked me to go to Target in person to purchase a gift card for $499, to which I told them I was uncomfortable doing so instead they tried to have me purchase an Apple gift card through the Target app which was declined. Because these purchases of gift cards were being declined I believed their security was working. Lastly, they had me go on Amazon to purchase a Playstation gift card for $100. I then there realized what was happened to me so I hung up, deleted the Anydesk app, and right away went to my bank to start a new account and let them know about the fraud. The scammers called me about 4 more times after I hung up.
