Scam Description
I wanted to report a scam. I was on the Google search engine trying to locate number for Facebook. I typed in how do I contact Facebook. Directly beneath Facebook was a phone number to click on to call. I clicked on clicked 808-796-5304. I reached someone. They claimed to be Facebook Technical Support. They asked me to download a Team Viewer Quick Support App. I did download the app at first. Then I deleted it off my phone when the call got funny. They asked me to delete my spam folder. Wanted me to check my banking apps and malware. They also wanted me to renter my banking information. Red flag went up for me. I said no to that. I started to ask questions. The person on the phone got an attitude. He said you called us. I said I need my attorney. They continued to be frustrated. The identified themselves as Facebook Technical Support. Another representative called me from 737-300-8112. They did not ask for money. I hung up on them. The link had taken me to an actual Facebook application. I thought I had finally found a phone number for Facebook.
