have a problem with my netgear box, i called technical support netgear at 1888 638 4327, a technical person answer after 40 minutes of waiting , i explained that i push the reset button on the box , was a mistake because was it was the factory restore setting , he said that needed to paid my warranty that expired , i say ok , he ask me for my phone # in case if we get disconnected , i told him that i needed to get my credit card at my garage , he say ok , when i came back with my credit card the cell was ringing with another call from new york (347 774 9990), i put the netgear technitian on hold , to answer the call from new york , this caller voice sounded like the netgear tech person, but he said that he was not him , the reason for his call was to offer his services to take care of my internet problems , i question him who he was , no way a was going to do business with an unknown person , no business name , etc , then he said ok and hang up the phone , when i when back to netgear call and he was gone , no return calls from netgear , this wrong to provide personal information to other parties without my ok, try to call netgear corporate direct phone #, they never answer call , only recording , left a message .
