Scam Description
I called a phone number claiming to be Hulu customer service. The man who answered said my account had a red flag on it because people were using my account to rent movies. He asked for only electronic payment services, saying he needed to set up dummy accounts to catch and drop the scammers. I said I don’t do that. He said I, could use Amazon. He started telling me to purchase Xbox gift cards as dummy accounts. I set up a couple before I realized how improbable the whole thing was. Amazon helped me later, and I stopped payment and contested charges on my credit card.
