Scam Description
I was trying to renew my Webroot security for my computer. I phoned the number for Webroot and got the scammer. I asked several times if he was Webroot and he said yes. He said he wanted to connect to my computer to fix the matter. Before I knew it he brought up a document I used when we were purchasing a home and used that to sign my initials and charge me $100.
I called Webroot this morning to verify that my account had been updated and they said no. I told them the story and they said I got scammed. I then called my bank to get my money back.
