Scam Description
I am 82 years old and reporting it to warn others. I received a call from Bob Walker with Publisher’s Clearing House. He told me I had won $11.5 million, or $7,000 a month for life, and a 2024 Ranger. He gave me a confirmation code of AC77rb. He said his phone number is 516-986-3260. His badge number is 1130pch. He had an accent. He asked for my name and address. He asked how I felt about being a winner. He also asked if I wanted this kept private or public. I said private. He was surprised. He asked where the airport was, and I said Columbus. He said they would be coming at 5pm, and they would bring a bouquet of flowers, champagne, a check, and a sheriff. He said Steve Harvey would arrive, and would need $1000 delivery fee. He asked if I was married or widowed. He asked me if I had a life insurance policy. He asked if I had a bank account, and which bank it was. then he asked what was the largest deposit I ever made. He told me twice to be sure to write all of this down. I said you’re trying to scam me. He replied: “This is not a scam”. I hung up.
