Scam Description
My ex-coworker told me about this and said he received the $50,000 in cash through FedEx and I would have to go through the steps to get the $50,000. I clicked then on the link and we chatted through Facebook Messenger. Then he told me let me check to see if you are in our data center which took about 10 minutes and he said yes I am in the data center. He asked me a bunch of questions, went back to whoever and said you are close to being a lucky winner. He sent me a form saying select what amount of money you would like and I selected the lowest one. There were executive fees, copies, sending it by FedEx and to go get a $500 gift card from Walmart, etc. He told me to snapshot the back of the card and he said I’m a lucky winner. He told me in order to pay for the gas for the Fed Ex driver to send another $500 gift card. Then I was still a lucky winner to send him $2000 through a gift card. I stopped and decided not to go through this anymore.
