Scam Description
This was the second or third time these people calling me saying I won some sweepstakes and they were doing an investigation. The first time I just said no thank you and hung up. Today I got another call so I asked him which one of my emails had the sweepstakes people sent the email to about the 5 million dollars. I also asked how did I win a sweepstakes when I never enter any,and he just kept trying to talk. Then he said he did not know which email,so I asked him,if you’re doing an investigation how would you know I received an email.I asked him for the court documents or the SEC filing number or any proof of some investigation. He just kept telling me it’s the “gaming Commission’ in DC. I asked him the address of the gaming commission yet he tried to talk over me and tell me I need tom be quiet and listen. That’s when it got ugly,and I told hi, that I dont need to listen,he needs to offer me full disclosure of which email,physical address of where he is,etc.I told him I dont have to do anything HE does,because he called me on MY PHONE. So as i was tearing him up verbally,he hung up.It was two of the same calls and it sounded like two different men with the same scam.
