Scam Description
Automated phone call saying that they were trying to reach my mother. I returned the call because my mother is now deceased. The number that was left in order to retuen the call was someone named David Peterson who claimed to be an attorney. After speaking with him, he said that he didn’t know how much my mother had won, it was after hours and a holiday, and he would send the information because as her beneficiary, I could receive her prize. I did offer an email address so that I could receive the supposed information he claimed had been sent to my mother via mail. I received the letter and of course the prize was 1.2 million and a car. All I had to do was to send $1800 for tax purposes.
