Scam Description
We received Multiple phone calls this week stating we have won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes they required us to go to the Dollar General store or other retail store to buy a card for $1,899. This would pay for the registration fee and they would come to our house with an individual representative with the reward amount and we would be required to give them the card. We declined responding it was a scam we believed and he was very detailed in his explanation along with a claim number in an effort to get us to go ahead and settle on claiming the product asking if we would like to have it televised publicized or remain confidential. We declined and hung up. The same caller called back three more times. We just want to make sure you’re aware in order to prevent this from happening to someone else that might not be so educated.
