Scam Description
Was messaged/approached by individual on a dating app about offering massage services (part of their profile description.) after brief exchange, they started to provide a website, images of their physical therapist license, and inquire about when i would want to schedule services. I have a friend who has done a similar thing before, offering massage services on a dating app, so the approach did not come off as odd/suspicious to me. The website looked fine until it came to the “bookings” page, but at the time i was just thinking it looked weird because i was on mobile. After “booking” i got oddly redirected to some random dating site making me realize i probably just fell for a scam, and had an email about having signed up for a random dating site i had never heard of and was now on their subscription trial service. I immediately terminated the account, and proceeded to interact with the individual as though nothing was wrong, and soon after they ceased contact and the dating profile is gone, most likely i was blocked to prevent me being able to take action against them in app. Information provided in the website was for creating an account: username, password, and then credit payment with 3 digit code meant to seem like you would be paying up front for the booking. It is now passed the date of when i booked for, with no word of anything. I have been keeping an eye on my bank account with no charges yet, and changing all account passwords just in case (i use separate passwords for all accounts already).
