Scam Description
I didn’t send any info or money, but I got a message about having a sugar momma when I made a post in a certain subreddit and the girl seemed to be legit because she uses the instagram handle “emily.gram0??????” and messaged me for a day or two asking random questions and then she finally said “how about I send your first allowance now so you know I’m serious.” I said okay, then she said “ All you have to do is open the check on your laptop, then use your banking app to take a pic of the front and back of the check and it gets deposited into your account. which institute do you bank with i’ll send you a check to deposit on your laptop..“ and she got pushy when I didn’t reply so I said it seemed eerily similar to a common scam going on and then she went silent.
