Scam Description
We were suppose to rent a rental property off of Mr. Darryl Brown and our lease was set to start on June 15, 2022. We sent Mr. Brown $4800 for first and last month’s rent + security deposit. He stated within 24-hours of receiving the proof of receipt that he would be sending the keys to us. Well that did not happen. He stated that due to his last tenants he had to remodel the kitchen and get all new appliances. He then asked up for a couple more months rent to cover this cost, we declined. He stated he had another family that could pay the whole years rent, so we told him to send us a copy stating our lease is terminated and send our money back and then we never heard from him again. Do not do business with this man.
