Scam Description
An apartment listing was posted on apartments.com for a 1 bedroom unit at $1500. I sent a message requesting an application and showing through apartments.com and the scammer responded via email with details about the lease and an application form. They also asked me to pay a security deposit to reserve the unit before moving in because many have applied and are interested in the unit. He has also sent me his Zelle details. I fortunately did not send him the money. I confirmed with the actual landlord that there is no such listing for 1 bedroom unit at $1500 by physically making a visit to the apartment and contacting the number posted on the banner in front of the apartment.
