Scam Description
I posted an item on FaceBook Marketplace. Immediately I got a message from Mabel K. Johnson saying she wanted to pickup the item today asking me to text her because she doesn’t use Facebook. That was a red flag (that I ignored) because she messaged me thru the app. But I foolishly texted her from my phone. Felt very uneasy doing so but did. She arranged a time and said she’d pay with cash but to be sure I was legit, for her safety she wanted to send me a 6 digit code. I then googled to see if this was a recognized scam and found it was. I told her she was scamming me and I was going to report her. She replied, No
I then blocked her number. I did receive a Google code which I deleted.
