Scam Description

I received a phone call first from a person who said he was the airport terminal manager and that he found an abandoned package with my name and phone number on it. He said that I can come to claim it and that it would cost me $300 dollars. He called every day religiously basically to check in. I had told him a date that I could pay and he agreed. Well, the date came around and he directed me to go and purchase a card for the amount of $300 dollars and include $100 dollars more for a driver that would pick me up. I agreed and waited for this driver to pick me up. Well this driver never showed. I contacted him again and he then asked me to get him a card for $500 dollars and another one for $300 dollars and he would pay me back when I saw him. I asked again for the whereabouts of this driver. He said he would check. I waited 4 hours and finally, I left. He contacted me again and apologized and said he would be by in the morning. The morning came and he did not show up but did contact me again and asked for more money. He said that there was an expense that came up and I needed to pay it. I told him no. This conversation went on for three weeks and a date was set up and I needed to pay $800 dollars to receive my package. Well, the date arrived and I ended up paying him $1400 more. He never showed. Allsaid and done total paid out were $2700 dollars and he finally agreed to refund my money and up to this point he has not. He even has stopped communicating to me as well.
