Scam Description
I received a call 1/22/2024 from Brad Murphy from College Prep Tutors. He called on my cell phone, knew my name and my daughter’s name. He said they were sending college prep information for the ACT and sending information out – software and related books, etc. He needed to collect $250 first to be able to send out the supplies/software/textbooks that need to be returned within 30 days and then the fee would be returned. He said once that the supplies were received my daughter could call M-F 12-6pm Eastern time for tutoring support. Sounded very legitimate….but you have no report on them and I can’t find much more info out there. They also don’t list an address on its website.
