Scam Description
My cat went missing on 9/7/22. I created a post on Facebook asking for help to find her and included my phone number to contact with any new information. I then received a text from 4 different numbers in a row all claiming to have found her. They stated first I would need to receive and send back a confirmation code via text before the cat could be returned. I did NOT comply and blocked all 4 numbers, but the scammer knows my full name from Facebook.
