Scam Description
When I first got the call it was an automated message stating it was from Amazon Fraud Department, I had unusual activity on my acct and someone tried to purchase a $1500 phone and to press 1 to speak w/ agent. They asked for an order number (said I didn’t have it) they then asked for my name, city & state… I started answering their questions with fake information and every time I’d say something they’d take a moment to act like they were looking it up and then they’d say “Oh yes, here you are.” like they found my fake info.
After that I continued calling the number back and every time they answered “Amazon fraud department.” Like usually when you call those numbers back it’s either an answering machine or it’s no longer in service, I was quite surprised they answered it.
