Scam Description
Hello,
I have been receiving hundreds of emails from the address geeksquad@emailinfo.geeksquad.com for the last few months.
The emails often appear to be phishing attempts to collect personal information.
The content of the messages are usually different, and the subject changes, but it’s always from this address
I contacted Google about the issue to explain how I am trying to deal with the volume of messages from this address.
The following steps have not had any impact on the volume of messages:
*Blocking the address through Gmail
*Creating a Gmail rule to mark each message from this address as read and move to trash.
*Reported phishing through Gmail
*Unsubscribing
I receive 20-50 per day from this address, most go to spam but still require review and deletion.
Google suggested that I submit feedback to the engineering team and send a complaint to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center or IC3.
I contacted Geeksquad /Bestbuy via email as well.
Is there anything that can be done to prevent the spoofed address, volume of spam, and phishing attempts from the Geeksquad domain?
