Scam Description
I listed a product on FB Marketplace. The “buyer” reached out on the platform, confirming they wanted to purchase the product and asked to text. In the text, they refused to provide payment (though they said it was “done”) and kept insisting on a new number to verify. Their language pattern felt off (though it took an embarrassing number of messages to piece that together), so I did some digging which led me to an identical scam reported here:
