Scam Description
i was attempting to buy tickets for a concert through ticketmaster. I received an email regarding pre-sale. The web site did not work so I called the phone number I found on line for ticket Master. I was told they could not take credit card information over the phone that I needed to use a ticketmaster or Apple gift card. i did for $200. I was then told that I needed to provide my location because my ticket master account had been hacked by someone in Houston. The sent me a text “Your account *****4957 is credited with $200.00 on Thu, Oct 26th 2023 for the physical location process. This entire process may tak 30-40 minutes. Ref ID: 242485544CR. Call 408-389-3756 for any assistance if required. I provided an additional $200 which they said was being credited back to my account. After doing so, they informed me that the hack on my ticket master account was $2,000 which I would need to clear using the same process to get me tickets. At this point I stopped.
