Scam Description
Was looking for a horse and found one on Facebook at a horse rescue in Lebanon MO. Everything seemed legit the guy sent me videos and pictures of the horse. I decided i wanted the horse so i told the guy that i had to wait until i got back out of town to come look at her and get her. He said he could not hold her and that i would need to put $550 down to reserve her. He then tried 2 time to get me to haver her shipped to my house in Texas for $650 I said i was coming to pick her up. The guy called me again and it threw red flags up. So, I started doing more research and found a website for Horse Scammers and found a lady that had purchased the same horse as me. Her and I talked, and she recommend that I call the Lebanon police department to file a complaint. I did this and found out from talking to the deputy that the guy is in fact a scammer. The address he provided to pick the horses up at was an older couple’s home and not a horse rescue. The guy had scammed several other people out of their Money. Not only did I lose money, but my friend also purchased a horse from the guy and had to put $800 down so now she is going to be out of pocket money as well. I filed 2 police reports on this guy. Facebook should shut this guy down as he is hurting a lot of people.
