Scam Description
The scammer advertises their business as a landscape and renovation company. We found the scammer through a third party app (LawnGuru) who attested all their providers had insurance. The scammer initially underbid on this job to attract the customer (me) and then once the job is agreed upon, they sent us an invoice asking for a 50% downpayment upfront via cash or Venmo. They said the upfront payment was to secure the 4-man crew. On the day of the job, the crew never showed up. We contacted the scammer who repeatedly gave us excuses as to why he couldnt make it out to our house to do the work. After a week of trying to ask for a refund back, they stopped responding to our texts and phone calls. We tried contacting their insurance company who told us that they cancelled their insurance policy a while back. They advertise the company as ‘Elevate Home Services LLC’ and ‘Elevate your homes’. They also use email address: jake@elevateyour homes.com. They also used the address 868 Huron River Drive, Belleville MI 48111 and EIN of 88-0714539.
