Scam Description

I clicked on an Ad for a sale on the HeyDude website on Facebook. It never crossed my mind that scams or counterfeit were being advertised. I know on FB marketplace I see it a lot. Anyway so I was thrilled with a special sale for their shoes and if you ordered more you’d receive a larger discount. (Should have known deals for HeyDudes & Birkenstocks were never that good). Proceeded to make separate purchases as there was a limit of 4 pair. I purchased 4 HeyDude shoes and 10 Birkenstock sandals (or thought I did) all in all I spent $140. Fast forward and something triggered my mind to check into the site (someone posted in one of my FB reseller groups about the illegal fakes and scams) and found my confirmation email. That then had me concerned, the site and HeyDude name were all lowercase and the only way to get hold was a woman’s email with no company email. The site hyperlink brought me to the very similar fake site and the 1 day blowout sale was still going on 3 weeks later… warnings started flashing for sure. I emailed the provided email account asking if I had been mislead into purchasing what I thought was Authentic shoes and that I would report etc. never received a legitimate tracking number except some association with site to lookup that shows coming from China. I received a reply says later stating my order was shipping and thanks for my patience. She never even addressed the possibility of shoes being knockoffs passed as the real thing. That seemed to be my answer that I was screwed. A few days later checked that link to the site I had visited and it was no longer available. I feel duped for not seeing if deal seems too good it probably is.
